Beach Sandals wall hanging
Hey all, I hope you have all had a great week! Here’s a fun pattern I made as a collab with The Hook Nook. It was fun to make a fun beachy pattern pre-Florida move. I wanted to make a beachy pattern and have some fun texture added in. I love braids added onto wall hangings.
I also redid my wall hanging attachment tutorial. I shortened it down to make it a quicker listen not dragging it out. Since there’s a lot to the pattern I’ll make this quick. Have a wonderful day!
This pattern is also available with a chart on Etsy.
Materials:
3 balls of worsted weight
(525 yards total worsted weight yarn this does include tassels)
-175 yards on each color
I-9 Hook (5.5mm)
Dowel or stick
Scissors
Optional: Beads/ Comb (more on this later)
Abbreviations:
Sc- single crochet
RS- right side
WS- wrong side
MC SC- main color single crochet
D SC- sandal color
CC SC- contrasting color single crochet
Tips:
Turn after each row
Ch 1 at the start of each row
Since it’s a wall hanging you can carry your yarn or use “floats” also known as intarsia.
If you are using a stick, make sure that a good portion of the bark is off, and its mostly straight.

Beaded tassels:
Cut 4 strands for each side about 40” long
Tie at the top and thread beads on yarn and tie off under bead where you want them to sit.
Have fun with it. Tie some beads to two stands or one.
Giant Tassels:
I used a folder to wrap the yarn around multiple times till its quite thick. Take a long piece and make the tassel part at the top my wrapping multiple times around the strands and tying off. and push the tassel onto the dowel. Cut the other end of the tassel bunch.
Regular Tassels: (if you want to do them in a downward V like I did, decide which colors you want where)
Cut 7 strands of yarn per tassel. These can be of the same length or varying lengths. My shortest tassel hangs at about 9” once attached and longest is 18” attached. Remember add an extra inch roughly to the length you want for tie off an trimming
· 100% personal preference. I brush my tassels to separate the strands of yarn a bit so they all look fuller.
· If you don’t want to do that, but want them to be very straight, take a flat iron on the lowest setting and barely glide them across.
