Poseidon Throw Pattern
Hello all! I hope you’ve been doing well! I’ve been getting used to my new schedule at work lately and I’ve been getting to enjoy a bit better use of my time!
I got to work on a few project bags and make some stitch markers to put in the shop as well. I really like the sewing, but I definitely am working on more horror bags, because…there will always be more horror movies. I appreciate all the feedback as well on the bags and requests for amazing new patterns.
I have a new few coming soon. Slasher Flick scarf is almost done being tested as well so that will be coming soon! I’m excited to work on my new Horror Bag pattern…..Jason.
For now though, here’s a freebie throw pattern with some chonky yarn.
Materials:
M Hook (8 mm)
Scissors
Yarn Needle
1100 yards Super Bulky Yarn (this includes border which uses about 150 yards)

Finished blanket measures 55” x 39”(with border)
Abbreviations:
MC HDC- main color half double crochet
CC HDC- contrasting color half double crochet
Bobble- 5 double crochet together (5dctog)
Tips:
Chain 1 before the start of every row as your turn chain. This does not count as a stitch.

Finish off
Border:
Puff St- Yarn over (yo), insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, In the same stitch, repeat the preceding step three times. You should have 8 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw the yarn through 6 loops then yo again and pull through remaining 2, this locks in your puff.
Pattern:
Attach contrasting color to a corner stitch and chain 3, *puff in next stitch, chain 1, skip a stitch*, puff in next, continue from *to * till reaching corner stitch. In corner stitch, dc, chain 3, dc, now working along next side continue from * to * again till reaching corner stitch. At corner stitch, dc, chain 3, dc, continue along the other two sides to first chain 3 stitch and attach yarn using a slip stitch into top of chain 3.
