Thriae Throw Pattern

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful week. Its Friday and its time for a freebie pattern. I hope you love it. I love a good chunky throw. I’m working on a few more throw patterns as well and a few to come and of course more bags as well because…horror and such.

I’ll also be working on some more bags and such to put in the shop as well. I was sick the first part of this week which definitely impacted getting some more made to stock up. I’m also working on some stitch markers and trying to decide on maybe a few more things I can make as well. Also, new horror bags are in the works as well which I’m elated about and have a few more ideas I recently plotted too. Basically there is no end in sight on them. Which when I first started them I was afraid I’d run out of ideas way too quickly.

Anywho, the main reason you’re here on to the pattern:

Materials:

L Hook (7 mm)

1061 yards of a super bulky yarn of your choice

170 yards of a contrasting super bulky yarn
(pictured is Bernat Softee in Natural)

Yarn Needle

Scissors

Abbreviations:

Ch- chain
Dc- double crochet
Tr- treble crochet
Sc- single crochet
Yo- yarn over
St- stitch

Finished Blanket Measures: 51”x41” (without border)

Special Stitches:

Cluster- Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw the yarn through the stitch. You now have three loops on the hook. Wrap the yarn over the hook again and pull it through the first two loops on the hook. One half-closed double crochet is complete, and 2 loops remain on the hook (2). In the same stitch, repeat the preceding steps twice. You should have 4 loops on your hook. Wrap the yarn over your hook and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook (3). One 3-dc-bobble-stitch is complete.

Linen Stitch- linen stitch is basically a repetition of *ch,sc*, working into the ch-1 space formed by the ch-1's in the previous row. You are effectively single crocheting BETWEEN single crochets, giving you a staggered woven look. Stitches are worked into the ch-1 spaces, NOT the loops of the actual stitches.

You’ll be making the clusters with the main color and the linen stitches with the contrasting color
