Namaste Wall Hanging

I figured its definitely time for a new freebie pattern. I’m working on a new wall hanging so I thought why not do a freebie wall hanging pattern! I’m working on more horror bags of course and a few other things to add to the shop. I think I’ll be adding some scrunchies as well. I definitely appreciate your love and support while I get more bags together and maybe, just maybe eventually I will make horror throws. What do you think?

Tips:

Chain 1 before the start of every row as your turn chain. This does not count as a stitch.

The first several rows are going to have you put 2 single crochets in the corner stitches this helps it get to the bigger shape and creates the triangular section.

This is worked using intarsia crochet.

Intarsia crochet means you will have “floats” behind the project. Floats are the name for the strands of yarn that are carried behind your work. You lock the stitch in every couple of stitches that way you don’t have several long pieces of yarn to contend with.

These are the written instructions. Chart attached as a separate PDF to download.

Deconstructing your ball of variegated yarn will help with the flow of colors so you can determine it better.

Abbreviations:

MC SC- main color single crochet

CC SC- contrasting color single crochet

2 SC- the beginning and end of each of the first 14 rows end with/ begin with 2 single crochet in the same stitch

Border:

Puff St- Yarn over (yo), insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, In the same stitch, repeat the preceding step three times. You should have 8 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw the yarn through 6 loops then yo again and pull through remaining 2, this locks in your puff.

Attach contrasting color to a corner stitch and chain 3, *puff in next stitch, chain 1, skip a stitch*, puff in next, continue from *to * till reaching corner stitch. In corner stitch, dc, chain 3, dc, now working along next side continue from * to * again around till you are at the start and attach yarn using a slip stitch into top of chain 3.

Tassels:

Tassels are completely optional and up to you. Add beads have fun with it. Remember when adding beads make sure to place a knot where you want the bead to sit otherwise it will just slide off.
