Updates

Hey all!

So, as you can see my whole blog has had a huge facelift. With that facelift, I also moved my blog from Wordpress to Squarespace. In doing so, I forgot to account for prior blog posts before switching everything over. With that being said, basically I’m just going to work on getting those pattern pages carried over. I’ve been wanting for some time to re-do several of my older patterns and such anyways so this will most definitely be a good time for that.

thank you

Mainly, a big thank you to everyone and your continued support in my crochet journey. There have been some ups and down in my career as with anyone and I’m definitely not a coder or anything so a lot of things have required hours of YouTube videos and trial and error. I’m still working on content for YouTube as well as working on some new patterns for you guys for 2022 as well. Blankets and throws are my specialty and as any of you have made a throw are aware, they definitely take some time.

That brings me to the other thing about re-releasing some patterns. I’ve come a long way in my pattern formatting and just the overall look of them as well. With that change, its time to pull up my old patterns I haven’t touched in a year or so and give them that oompf that my newest patterns have. so *fingers crossed, I’ll be hopefully releasing a revamped pattern every month as well.

Explore

One of the main reasons for my switch was my lack of ability to really do anything on the old platform I had. I felt it required so much coding to really do anything, that I started to not want to make changes and let it go to the wayside, which isn’t fair. I wanted to be happy with my blog and for ease of service because again, totally not a coder, be able to put more blog posts up and not feel like I’m battling the system.

I also am wanting to integrate shopping into the blog. You’ll see a tab for it above but as of right now I have yet to actually get everything finalized. That will come with time. I am slowly working on that process as well, but uploading each pattern is not a quick process. I’m wanting to integrate due to all the fees that tend to be associated with each selling platform, so less fees for all sounds pretty good to me, now its all about execution.

I also wanted to be able to integrate my book obsession I have into my blog/website as well. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen my recommended list of audible reads and honestly that’s not all by any means. With that being said, I wanted to be able to talk a little more about them and also put together a good place to house them all. From now on, a book I read that I like that I don’t feel is complete garbage (I have some of those too) I will add to the Amazon audible list on the books tab at the top. I’m always down for recommendations and if you like the idea of a kind of come as you want book club definitely let me know.

Youtube

YouTube will definitely be something I continue to explore as well. I actually had an amazing nail tech who left where I was going and it took me a few weeks to find out where he went. Look okay he was absolutely amazing and the old place wouldn’t give me any info, not a stalker. Its one of those if you know you know things.

Because I’ve been without my main person, my nails look like trash, I’ll be honest. They ended up getting so long and lifting because it had been a while that I just ripped them all off and now am queen of nubbin land. Again, if you know what your nails look like after you take acrylics off, you totally know what I mean about trash nails.

With that being said, I’ll be back at a few more tutorials as soon as I have some presentable fingers. I also did some re-arranging in my craft room too. Basically trying to get some more positivity and starting fresh with the lot of most things.

So, thank you all again for your amazing patience and I can’t wait for this new bloggy journey. I hope you like the updates!

Happy Crocheting, Torie
